Also, I thought there was a proposal floating out there within MLB that would move the Draft to August. If that got passed, then it would become a moot point as to when the college baseball season ends.

You are right the proposal is a long way off from being passed by the NCAA. Given MLB's plan to contract minor league baseball, it wouldn't surprise me if the college proposal was connected to it or inspired by it in some way.
